About me

I have been a qualified midwife since 2014 and completed my training at the TEI Athens, Greece. I began my professional career there as an attending midwife. In 2017 I moved to Germany, where I worked in the delivery room for two years. I have been living with my family in beautiful Switzerland since 2019 and continue to work in the delivery room. As a mother of two children, it was particularly important to me to deepen my knowledge in the area of ​​breastfeeding. After the birth of my first daughter, I decided to train as a breastfeeding and lactation consultant. I have been a certified breastfeeding and lactation consultant (IBCLC) since 2024. In autumn 2024 I will fulfill my dream of working as a freelance midwife. It is a great pleasure for me to combine clinical and non-clinical activities. I look forward to accompanying many new families and welcoming many new citizens.

Pregnancy visits

Basic insurance covers 6 check-ups by the midwife during pregnancy. The following services are included: consultation, listening to the fetus heartbeat, determining the position and location of the fetus, measuring the abdominal circumference and fundus height, urine examination, checking weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature as well as blood samples and other examinations if necessary.

Birth preparation course

I offer private courses to prepare for birth, the postpartum period and breastfeeding in your home. Together we will create a plan that is individually tailored to your needs. Basic insurance covers part of the costs of 150 francs. The remaining costs are 250 francs for a two-day course that covers all aspects of childbirth, the postpartum period and breastfeeding. Alternatively, you can also book a one-day course for pure birth preparation for 50 Fr.

Postpartum Visits

Basic insurance covers up to 10 visits for multiparous women and up to 16 visits for first-time mothers, twin births, cesarean sections or premature births in the first 56 days after birth. If medical need arises, care can be extended with a doctor's prescription. During this time, the well-being of mother and child is checked regularly.

The mother's regression, bleeding, possible injuries, incisions, breast health and vital signs are checked. The child's weight development, general condition, umbilical care, administration of vitamin K and the Guthrie test are carried out. In addition, consultations take place to clarify questions and offer support.

Breastfeeding Counceling

The basic insurance covers three breastfeeding consultations during the entire breastfeeding period. For further consultations I charge 120 francs per hour. We can create a plan together that takes return to work and breastfeeding into account. I support you with problems such as painful breastfeeding, sore nipples, breast infections, engorged milk, pumping or weaning.
